Limescale

Limescale, also known as limestone, is a deposit of calcium carbonate that can be caused by hard water. This deposit can build up in water pipes, water heaters and household appliances and can reduce the efficiency of these appliances and shorten their lifespan.

Limescale deposits can also appear in showerheads, sinks, toilets and other water-using appliances and can affect water permeability. In some cases, they can also become visible on surfaces and appear as white or yellow spots.

Limescale deposits can be removed by descaling measures, such as using descaling agents or installing a softening system.
